More creepy reflections of characters as children...

I was thinking of this short story the whole time that I was reading Aura. Miriam, a short story by Truman Capote, reminds me a lot of the relationships between Consuelo and Aura and of Susan Barton and Susan Barton. It's worth a read, and it's pretty creepy since we're just out of the Halloween season!

  1. I thought the writing and the style was right in the same vein as Aura. Both had a creepy sort of atmosphere and secondary character and a weird parallel between characters at the end. I thought it was also uncanny on how both characters in the story shared the same name, just like Susan and Susan in Foe.
